2/July/04 Following the announcement from the official site's webmistress, I spoke to Jon Renard this morning. He can't, for various reasons, make any comment about casting just yet but we've got to stay hopeful, yes? Mr Marsters needs lots of publicity now that he's got his own funding for the Scottish Play, after all. Poor Jon still won't completely let himself believe that this time it will all go ahead - he thinks he has it rough? What about us slashy JM fans? Pob hwyl or, for those who don't speak the language of Heaven, congratulations to all concerned, *raises glass of large Jack and sings happily along with the Rocky soundtrack (damn, Tim Curry's got one hell of a voice!)* Please have patience while I upload the site to the new url which is http://venetianheat.tripod.com any broken links may be working at the old site here which is part of Wayward Boys. If nothing works it's probably cos bits of me aren't working either. As always, I'd be grateful for reports of broken links, tyops etc.
~~~~~~~ 23/3/04 extract from the Buffy UK Magazine April 2004 ~~~~~~~ 26/10/03 The Venetian Heat discussion group is growing - come along and join in: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/venetianheat/ ~~~~~~~ Venetian Heat as at 22/10/03: I have spoken to Jon Renard, this morning, following a miasma of mis-reporting on certain boards about VH and James's involvment in its future - for the latest information, please see News.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Inspired by the news that James has been cast in the forthcoming film, Venetian Heat, and still suffering from new-web-designeritis, I couldn't resist creating a site dedicated to films and plays with any link to James. We all know that James's favourite Shakespeare play is the one that
maligns the good King Macbeth and that he would like to produce a film
version. Well, as it 'appens, family was playing Lady M to Sean Bean's
Thane, earlier this year an' as Sean is to be co-starring in Heat
with James, it it all segues nicely with my interest in theatre and film
adaptations; so that was the final excuse I needed. (Unfortunately segues
breed in the most unbecoming manner causing delays such as one whole afternoon,
which was spent trying to track down details of the British telly, Kean,
broadcast in 1982.) There will be an Italian version of each page, very soon - it seems only right and proper - closely followed, hopefully, by pages in Spanish and in the language of Heaven. Any volunteers to supply translations into other languages will be warmly welcomed, given a nice hot cup of cocoa, a pat on the head and a reminder to keep taking their tablets. Oh, and a "Yes, please!" Before going off-line for several days, I wanted to publish the basics. As the site develops there will be a message board ie the forum and a chat room. The site will also be moving to a proper paid-for home within slashafflction.co.uk as soon as I get that published. In the meantime, please enjoy and feel the Heat it will get hotter!
